Get Ready for your Birthday Party!

Thank you for planning your birthday party at TreeTop Adventures! We can't wait to celebrate with you!

The information below will hopefully answer any questions you may have, so that you and your party guests come fully prepared for your TreeTop Adventure!

Important: Waiver Instructions

Everyone climbing needs to have a liability waiver signed by themselves if age 18+, or by a legal parent/guardian if under age 18.

Complete your digital waivers right through your confirmation email. Once you fill out your online waiver it goes right into our system. No need to print it!

  • • Waivers are on-file for 1 year from the date signed - If you have turned 18 since the last time you climbed, you will need a new waiver.

  • • If you signed waivers online before making a reservation, we can look your waivers up when you check-in and add them to your reservation.
  • Bringing friends or children that aren't your own?

  • Have friends or parents sign waivers ahead of time! You can send the waiver to others via text or email on the "Invite Others" tab of your reservation dashboard (click "View/Manage Reservation" in your confirmation email, Anyone under 18 must have the waiver completed by a legal parent/guardian; anyone who is 18+ can complete their own waiver).

  • • You can view who has filled out waivers on the "Waivers" tab of your reservation dashboard, and send reminders to parents/guests.
  • Appropriate Attire

  • Closed-toed Shoes - Sneakers are great! NO sandals, flip flops, ballet flats, Crocs, or similar type shoes.

  • • Comfortable Clothing - Nothing too baggy that might get caught in your gear. Dress for the weather! Wear layers in case you get hot/cold. TreeTop Adventures will remain open in light rain, so if the forecast calls for showers, bring a raincoat.

  • • Long hair needs to be tied back

  • • No loose jewelry - all jewelry should be taken off while climbing to ensure nothing gets caught in your equipment or lost.
  • Park Map & Picnic Locations

Below is a map of our park with the locations of the picnic areas.

We will reserve picnic tables for your birthday party. The tables are 10ft wooden tables. You can bring tablecloths if you would like, however, our tables are in nice condition.

When you check-in on the day of your party, we will give you a box with some extra supplies (candles, lighter and a trash bag), and will give you this map with the location of your tables.

Climbing & Dining: Pizza & Cake

Having Pizza and Cake at TreeTop Adventures is optional! You may choose to have pizza/cake at your own home/another restaurant, or not at all! It is up to you! We will have a picnic table reserved for you either way. If you do decide to have pizza/cake at TreeTop Adventures, below are some guidelines to help you organize the food portion of your party.

Birthday Parties Generally run 3.5-4 hours:

  • • 30 minutes of onboarding (briefing, harnessing & practice)

  • • A little over 2.5 hours of climbing

  • • 30-45 minutes of dining (you can arrange for your own food delivery or serve cake)

  • While we strongly recommend you save food for after your climb, groups can arrange to arrive early and eat in the course before you gear up, practice and head onto our course.

Regardless of whether your group chooses to eat before or after your climb, everyone in your party needs to complete our safety brief at our check-in area and receive climbing passes before heading down to the course.

If you are planning to arrive early to eat, please notify us in advance so we can plan picnic table assignments ahead of time.

Parties are welcome to have food delivered to the course. TreeTop Adventures is not responsible for the delivery of food items to the course. To ensure your food is delivered successfully, we request someone in your party is on the ground and ready to receive your order at your scheduled delivery time. We ask that you instruct the restaurant delivering the food to:
  • • Deliver the food to the "Newgrange Counter" by our main platform (see map of park above)

  • • Call or text you when your food has arrived

  • • Clearly mark your party's name on the items being delivered

  • • Include payment and gratuity over the phone

  • • Alert a staff member when you have picked up your pizza, and leave your name

  • Looking for pizza/food delivery or local restaurants? Click here.

    Check-in & Pickup Tickets

It is best to arrive about 10 minutes early so we can get you checked-in and ready to go before your reservation time. Bringing a large group? Arrive about 15 minutes early to to make sure everyone in your group checks-in together.

  • • Once you have gathered your entire party, please come to the registration trailer located by the parking lot to check-in. (If you haven't done your Liability Waiver in advance, climbers will complete their Liability Waiver on one of our tablets or their cellphone).

  • • After your waivers have been verified, we will issue you your tickets, and you will have some time to put things back in your car and/or use the porta-johns before getting all of your gear on. (You will be in a harness for 2+ hours, so it is best to use the bathroom at this time).

  • • Once all of the parties for your time-slot are checked-in, we will take you through a safety briefing, and send you down into the park. Our staff will help put all of your gear on, and then take you through practice lines where you will learn how to use your equipment. Once that is complete, you will have 2+ hours of climbing time.

  • climbing chart with age guidelines

  • "Supervised from Ground" - Climber can be by themselves on the trail, but needs to have a parent/guardian supervising them from the ground and guiding them verbally when needed.

  • "Climb with Adult" - Climber needs to have an adult (18+) accompany them on the trail.

  • "NA" - Not allowed on the trail due to the difficulty and height of the elements. No acceptions can be made.

  • "Solo" - Can climb on the trail without an adult or active supervision on the ground. Climbers under 18 still need a parent/guardian to be in the grounds of TreeTop Adventures.
  • Daily Closing Procedures

Please be aware of our Hours and the time that TreeTop Adventures closes in the evening. If you plan on having food delivered to TreeTop Adventures, keep in mind the closing time and plan accordingly.

To ensure you have the best climbing experience, please arrive 15 minutes BEFORE your reservation start time to allow time to complete waivers/check-in and use restrooms.

Please note our trail closing policies:

We will close our more challenging trails (2 Greens, 2 Blues & Black) 30 minutes BEFORE close to allow climbers enough time to finish these more challenging trails.

If you have not yet reached the halfway point on our Black trail (Single Black to Double Black) 15 minutes before the park closes, you MUST take the escape to the ground.

The main platform will be closed 15 minutes before the park closes for the day. No new trails can be started once the main platform is closed.

    Reschedule Policy

If you cannot climb on the day of your reservation for any reason, you can reschedule your Birthday Party to another day. Please send us an email to info@tree-topadventures.com or call 781-989-5800 to tell us what day and time you want to reschedule your party to, and please provide your reservation number.

    Cancellation/Inclement Weather Policy

Birthday Party Cancellation and Inclement Weather Policy:

TreeTop Adventures can still operate in the rain, and climbing in the rain is still safe and fun! If you plan on climbing in the rain, please arrive dressed for the weather. If you do not want to have your birthday party in the rain, there are some options:

    • Birthday Parties can be cancelled 3 days out from the event with a full refund. Please call us at (781) 989-5800 or email us at info@tree-topadventures.com and we will cancel the reservation and refund your credit card.

    • Birthday Parties that are cancelled within the 3-day timeframe will not be eligible for a refund, however, we can reschedule your party or issue a gift card for the full amount of your reservation, which can be used for a future reservation. Gift Cards never expire. You can cancel your reservation from your reservation dashboard. A Gift Card will be automatically generated and sent to your email address.

    • In the event of extreme weather (thunder/lightning or high winds), the courses may have to temporarily close – similar to a swimming pool – until the weather passes. TreeTop Adventures staff has full discretion on high wind closings and will inform climbers of any closures at the main platform.

    • Any unused tickets that you have on the day of your reservation can be sent to you in the form of a giftcard that you can use to make a new reservation, or can be given to the guest(s) who could not attend.

    • If we see severe weather in the forecast, we will reach out to you to reschedule or send you a gift card for your party. If a full park closing due to weather occurs during your visit, you will be given the option to extend your ticket time and wait it out (depending on availability), or receive a prorated voucher (depending on the time left in your climb) for your next visit.

    • Groups that are a “no-show” for their reservation on the reserved day/time are not eligible to be refunded or rescheduled.

    Birthday Party Specific Tips

  • • Please call your party for 15 minutes before your start time to make sure your guests arrive before your climb time starts.

  • • Please finalize your climber count and make sure everyone has a waiver on file before arriving to the course. We will be checking in other climbers/groups, and it can get very chaotic with kids running around at check in while parents are adding on new tickets and completing waivers.

  • • If any of your climbers are running late, your group will continue with your scheduled start time. When guests arrive late, they will join the next scheduled brief. After the brief, they will head down to the course to meet up with your group.
  • Other Things to Know

  • • Leave all backpacks, purses, wallets, etc. in the car. We have limited storage cubbies for you to put things in. It is best not to put valuables in the cubbies.

  • • Bring a credit card or some cash in your pocket for drinks, snacks or souvenirs. You have a paid reservation, so you won't need anything to check-in other than the First and Last name on your reservation.

  • • We have a key board where you can hang your car keys if you don't have pockets for them.

  • • Cell phones and GoPros are welcome at the park. For anyone who wants to take pictures with their phones, be sure to wear something with a deep pocket so you can keep your hands free for climbing. GoPros should be mounted on the chest or on head gear (you will put on after you are harnessed).

  • Our minimum age to climb is 7 years. Our minimum weight limit is 35 lbs. and maximum weight limit is 265 lbs.

  • • Anyone who is coming along to take photos or watch can do so for FREE. They can stay with you and watch the harnessing and safety briefing process; once you start climbing, they can then walk below our trails or enjoy one of our many picnic tables within the park.

birthday-party-package-items The Birthday Party Package includes:

    • Gear for a minimum of 10 climbers (kids and adults). Additional climbers over the 10 person group package will be charged on a per person basis at the discounted birthday party rate.

    • 2.5 hours of climbing in the park plus a 30 minute orientation.

Do adults have to climb with the birthday party?

Adults are not required to climb with the brithday party, however, having adults climb and attend the party can be helpful, particularly with younger kids. Having an extra set of hands to supervise, setup food/drinks, and climb with kids is very helpful. To be considered an adult on the trails, you must be 18 or older.

The minimum age to climb on our trails is 7 years old and kids will have access to different trails based on their age. Please refer to the climbing chart below when planning your party.

    climbing chart with age guidelines
"Supervised from the ground" means that a parent/guardian needs to be in the park observing the children, but does not need to climb (no ticket required for the adult).

"Climb with adult" means that the children need to climb on the trail with an adult in a 1 adult to 3 children ratio (ticket required for adult).

Can adults pay for their own tickets?

If adults want to climb with the party, they can do so at the discounted birthday party rate. If you do not want to pay for all of the adults to climb, they can pay for their own ticket when checking-in. Please call us at least three days in advance with your final climber count. We will add on additional tickets for any adults that want to climb, you can send them the waiver link, and they can pay when your party is checking-in.

Please note that this will increase your check-in time, so you will want to tell those adults to arrive a little early to get their payment taken care of.

What if I end up needing more Birthday Party Tickets than expected?

You can reserve up to 15 tickets online, but if you expect more than 15 quests at your party we can add on as many tickets as you need. We always recommend reserving the minimum number of tickets for now. You can contact us with your final climber count as soon as your RSVPs come in. We will add tickets to your reservation and take additional payment.

The minimum number of tickets to get the discounted rate is 10. If you have less than 10 climbers, we will send you a gift card for any unused tickets.

If you have last minute add-ons to the party, we generally can add tickets to your reservation at check-in, but sometimes we do get fully booked and cannot accept last minute add-ons. In general, it is best to have your climber count finalized with us at least 3 days before your reservation.

What if I have last minute add-ons to the party guest list?

If you have last minute add-ons to the party, we generally can add tickets to your reservation at check-in, but sometimes we do get fully booked and cannot accept last minute add-ons. In general, it is best to have your climber count finalized with us at least 3 days before your reservation.

What if some party guests are going to arrive late to the party?

Guests who arrive late to the party will have to go through a separate safety briefing and practice session. Once they do that, they will be able to find their friends and join in on the fun.

The guest who arrived late will have less time to climb in the trees, since the party will be coming down for food/cake. If a guest is going to arrive between 45min-1hr late, that should still be enough time to experience a couple of trails. If a guest is going to arrive more than an hour late, they may not get on as many trails, but they can still enjoy the food/cake portion of the party. Arriving 2 hours late will not give the guest enough time to go through the safety briefing or trails. They are still welcome to come for food/cake, however, they will not be able to climb.

When checking-in, you will want to tell the staff member who is going to be arriving late, and leave their tickets at check-in for the guest(s) to pick up.

What time should I tell the guests to arrive?

This will depend on when you plan on having food/cake. If you want to have food/cake before climbing, then factor in about 45 minutes before your reservation for food and another 15 minutes for guests getting stuck in traffic/showing up a little late. For example, if your party tickets are booked at 2:45pm and you want to have food before climbing, tell your guests to arrive at 1:45pm.

If you plan on having food after your climb, you should tell guests to arrive 15 minutes before your climb time. For example, if your birthday tickets are at 2:45pm, tell your guests the safety briefing starts at 2:30pm to get them to arrive a little early. This will give you enough time to check-in and gather all of the party guests before starting your climb.

Your 3 hour climb time does not start until we print out your tickets, so no worries if you get caught in traffic, or are running a little behind schedule!

Is food available for our birthday party?

TreeTop Adventures DOES NOT have the ability to make or store food. Additionally, we do not provide utensils, plates, etc. Therefore, we do not recommend bringing anything that needs to stay cold like Icecream cake, or other frozen desserts.

There are several pizza places that deliver directly to our park. Click here for a list of nearby restaurants that deliver to TreeTop Adventures. We do have picnic tables available for your use and you can bring a cooler(s) to keep things cold.

We recommend calling the restaurant in the morning on the day of your party to place your order, and tell them what time you will want the food delivered. We generally recommend having pizza/cake before, or after your climb time. The exact time will depend on the time of day that you plan on booking your party.

For example, if you reserved tickets in the morning at 10:45am, you may want to have food/cake after your climb time (when it is closer to lunch time). If you reserved tickets in the afternoon/evening, you may want to have food/cake beforehand so your guests don't get hungry when climbing.

Your 3 hour climb time starts when we print out your tickets, so if you plan on eating before you climb, tell the staff members at check-in so they can print your tickets out later.

How do I tell guests/parents to fill out liability waivers?

Liability Waivers are required for anyone who wishes to climb. We use a digital waiver system, which has a very conveinant way of inviting parents/guests to fill out online waivers.

When you made a reservation for your birthday party, you received a confirmation email with a link to a reservation dashboard where you can invite guests to fill out waivers via text or email OR you can copy a link to the digital waiver that you can paste into an email or e-vite, or print onto physical mail invitations. Instructions for both of these methods is in the "Before Coming to the Park" drop-down menu on this page.
